A bunch of the members on DPChallenge are doing another PAD. This time the theme is "Slice of Life" where as we are to take a shot of something we do from day to day. We are to go outside our comfort zone...I've never had a comfort zone so no telling where this will go. You may just see a lot of satirical IT type shots in this one.
Day 1 - Minute One
First order of the day is to see how bad the backup program screwed up the backups from the night before.
SCSI, a Super Loader and "that" Backup program sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
If all went well then I can evacute the carts to off-site storage.

Day 1 - Bonus Tip

PAD Day 2 - After the backups.
I slip back into my office and catch up on Emails, Voicemails, IM with the IT guys in Frisco, TX. and Foothill Ranch, CA, goof off with photos in PSPx2...and sometimes I just sleep...
Email from Boss:
"Hey Andy have you got that SCOM 2007 Install/Config for the DMZ done yet? I really need to get back to my boss with a status". "While we're at it do you have that Status report done yet? You know the one for July...August...and September".
Reply:
"Not now Mike, I am really busy at this time".
Note to Self: Self clean this mess up!

Day 3 - Starbuck's: The Nectar to the Gods
Ok, so if you have ever had the coffee from my lunch or break room, you would know that the flavor is somewhere between 90 weight motor oil and asphalt. I kid you not I think they import dirt from some remote location in Arizona to make that crap.
That being said:
My office is located in the Executive area of the building and in my own mind I have placed myself high on an executive pedastal; Therefore I should be able to sup from the carafe of goodness, and I do...
I say let the peasants drink the yucky stuff.

I guess you poke fun at IT related stuff long enough it will get even with you. It was one of those days.
This was durning a smoke break, while pacing back and forth.
At least I got to shoot the 100-400mm that I picked up last weekend. I've been using the 11-18 tammy so far in my IT shots.

Day 6 - The Waiting Game
Clean up day so I'm hanging at the house.
The Cats haven't quite figured out the concept of cleaning. Why everything gets moved from room to room. Besides, they can't help because they don't have thumbs.
