While purusing the site did you notice that when you hover over a photo a little fly out is visible on the right side of the photo? It has a thumbs up and thumbs down Icon on it. Smugmug is one of those popularity type sites where the more popular a photo is the better chance of it being seen. Not that I am in to the popular thing, but if you see a shot you like why not click on the little green thumbs up.
